Texas Roadhouse is an American chain restaurant that specialises in steak. From the neon sign of the State of Texas wearing a cowboy hat, to the wood panelled exterior, it is quintessentially Texan.
THE FOOD 10/10
To start, we were given a free cup of chilli each, to taste, which was great, and freshly baked bread which was soft and lovely! They boast hand-cut steaks and fall-off-the-bone ribs, which were absolutely delicious. I have to say, for the meal we ate, we expected to pay a lot more, but their prices are fantastic, and their portions, massive.
THE SERVICE 10/10
Despite it being rammed when we were there, the waiters took time to explain the menu and made us feel super special, as first-timers.
THE ATMOSPHERE 9/10
The restaurant itself has a different vibe from the steak restaurants I usually go to. It is busy and family friendly, with tables surrounding a large circular bar. The only reason I scored it lower on the atmosphere is because it was not what I was expecting for that particular evening.
